Description

Description

SFP+ DAC (Direct Attach Copper) passive twinax cable is suitable for very short distances transmission and offers a highly cost-effective and low power solution to connect within racks and across adjacent racks.
SFP+ twinax passive cable allows for a serial data transmission up to 10.3Gb/s, which is a low cost choice for very short reach applications of 10GbE or 1-8G Fiber Channel. SFP+ DAC which replaces two optical modules and a connectorized optical fiber with a twinaxial copper cable assembly offers the higher density, lower cost, and lower power 10 Gigabit Ethernet solution than other cable types such as 10GBASE-CX4 and CAT6/CAT6A 10GBASE-T. AWG(American wire gauge), decreasing gauge numbers denote Increasing wire diameters, the transmission will be more longer, 30AWG for 0.5~3 meters application, the price is better than 24AWG Cable.
Notice:
1. When link "Intel NIC" with over 3 meters SFP+ DAC Passive, you need to choose 24AWG, otherwise there will exist instability (1 or 2 meters, 30AWG is ok).
2. When link "Cisco switch" with 5 meters SFP+ DAC Passive, you could also choose 30AWG to save cost (because Cisco has enough compensation in the switch’s chipset ).
3. When link "Aruba (HP Provurve) switch"£¬the hardware is different with others.
4. The compatible for "Brocade CNA", please choice the Active SFP+ DAC.
